“Kedr” enterprise resource planning system
General description of the system, applicationIn the course of the enterprise economic activity planning it is necessary to achieve the maximum utilization of production and existing resources. This, in its turn, means rational use of human potential, production funds, material assets, working time, monetary funds, and informational possibilities; allows improvement of client servicing, accurate and timely execution of orders, forecasting of actual possibilities of order processing, reduction of lead time. Provision of control at all production stages, deep analysis of the production program execution, modeling and forecasting of an enterprise is not possible without the usage of the intellectual automated control system. The analysis of the enterprise control systems market has shown lack of products providing full coverage of management and control elements of the enterprise production cycles oriented to the output of a large number of different articles. The represented automated systems for enterprise planning and management are oriented, first of all, to provision of financial preparation of the production: planning of the enterprise budget, rational purchase of component parts and materials. Such method is effective only in case of small nomenclature of the output articles at large-scale manufacture. The most popular automated systems of domestic development are created for provision, first of all, the trade enterprises: accounting and personnel records, control of traffic and residual stock in the warehouses, accounting of costs and labor intensity. Foreign automated systems, as a matter of principle, provide for the full cycle of production control, including the current calendar planning of production. But high cost of delivery, upgrading and technical support makes it unprofitable to implement such systems at small enterprises. Implementation of the existing systems with subsequent adaptation for the production cycle in most cases is economically non-beneficial due to necessity of upgrading and technical support of the system modules; easily adaptable systems, as a rule, do not provide the effective work with large bodies of data and cannot ensure planning of the medium-sized enterprise production. Orientation to production is effective in case of the enterprises of machine-building and instrument-making complexes which have small-size and medium-size lot production and wide range of the output products. Small lots and wide range of the output products require thorough analysis of manufacturing capabilities at a stage of order preparation and continuous control over execution of production program during the whole period of order execution. |
