Bay controller

A programmable bay controller (PBC) measures electrical parameters of electrical circuits, ensures emergency control and event logging, power quality analysis and provides data for feasibility studies of electric power consumption.


It can be used separately or integrated in PCSs of power supply companies and consumers.








Functions

  • Acquisition and processing of signals (including validation) from current and voltage transformers in electrical circuits.

  • Power quality analysis according to GOST 13109-97

  • Acquisition and processing of signals (including validation) about the status of switches in electrical circuits

  • Calculation of normal electrical parameters: voltage, current, active and reactive power, zero phase, positive and negative phase sequences, frequency, etc.

  • Switching control in electrical circuits

  • Event logging and transient data exchange in emergency modes

 

 

Technical Characteristics

The controller is a modular configurable and programmable product.  

 

 

The PBC analog channels are connected directly to:

 

  • Current transformers CТ (Inom = 1A, Inom = 5А);
  • Voltage transformers VT (Unom = 100V);
  • AC voltage signals rated 220/380V

     

     

    Sampling rate of AC current/voltage signals is programmable and complies with the COMTRADE standard amounting to 40, 80, 160 points per period of 50 Hz power-line frequency.

     

    Calculation of anharmonicity coefficients – up to the 40th harmonic component.

     

    Real time clock of the bay controller is timed via the IRIG-B channel. The timing accuracy is at least 1 ms.

     

    The PBC can receive power from back-up power sources for its simultaneous power supply from two AC and DC feeders.
